Stockholm, Sweden, Feb. 11, 2025 (GLOBAL NEWSWIRE) - Mars Renewable (“MARS”) is thrilled to announce the successful pre-commissioning of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in collaboration with CheckWatt, one of the largest independent aggregators and Energy Management System (EMS) providers in the Nordic region. The pre-commissioning test was conducted with CheckWatt’s hardware unit CM10 and has confirmed that MARS’s BESS solution meets all the performance requirements for delivery of ancillary services in the Nordic market.

The successful pre-commissioning highlights several key advantages of MARS’s BESS in ensuring the economic success of BESS projects, particularly in terms of response speed, control accuracy, availability, and maintenance:

1.Ultra-Fast Response Speed & Superior Control Accuracy: The pre-commissioning test demonstrates the MARS’s BESS response speed and control accuracy of power output are among the best in the industry when integrated with EMS. The superior response speed and control accuracy enable end-users to optimize energy storage benefits more smoothly and efficiently, leading to a significantly enhanced return on investment (ROI) for customers.

2.Minimal Maintenance & High Availability: The pre-commissioning process with CheckWatt ensures smooth software-level command transmission, simplifying and streamlining maintenance procedures for MARS’s BESS with minimal downtime. Additionally, long uptime and high availability contribute to reliable economic returns for customers.

The success of this pre-commissioning is a testament to the strong collaboration and mutual recognition between MARS and CheckWatt. Through seamless communication and coordination, both parties efficiently completed the test. Going forward, MARS and CheckWatt will continue to leverage their expertise to drive innovation in energy storage, accelerate BESS adoption in the Nordic market, and support the region's energy transition—shaping the future of energy together!
